Love Where You Live
Faith West Housing
Faith West Is Purdue's Premiere Residence with a Purpose

Our housing provides affordable living to residents that seek to be members of a covenant community.

What is a Covenant Community?

A covenant community is comprised of members who hold themselves and each other to the terms of a common agreement. At Faith West, our community is comprised of residents who sign a membership covenant that will indicate each person’s willingness to live in accordance with a high standard of moral conduct. The staff at Faith West hold residents accountable for living up to the terms of the covenant.

Why Live at Faith West?

"I love living at Faith West. Not only are the apartments beautiful, clean, and fully furnished, but there is a real strong community atmosphere. I'm a nursing student and often find myself overwhelmed and stressed, but the residents at Faith West have been so encouraging."
- Amy Gray, resident

"Being a resident at Faith West has been one of the best parts of my college experience. It's easy to see Faith's emphasis on community outreach through all of the ministries that the community center has to offer."
- Alex Jobbe, resident

"Faith West has been a HUGE blessing to our family. We know that like minded individuals have chosen to live at FW by the standard that has been set. I have seen and heard what the Godly influences have done and are doing in my son's life. It really has been an answer to prayer."
- Deigh Regnier, parent

"Since moving to Faith West, our son has learned how to make his faith his own. It has not been an easy road of growth. However, we believe that the influence of those around him and the leadership at Faith West have helped solidify his faith and have a made a great impact in his walk with Christ."
- Kirk Barger, parent

"This last school year has been my best yet at college. I have been able to serve others to a far greater extent than I thought I would have time for in college. It was also my hardest year and I was supported by the pastoral staff and my friends at Faith West during the aftermath of a terrible tragedy. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to live at Faith West."
- Eric Schrock, resident

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you do roommate matching?

We have a roommate selection profile that you are welcome to fill out. We do our best to pair you up with roommates who have similar interests and personalities. We want you to have a good experience here! Please understand that as spaces fill up our ability to roommate match becomes more limited.

Do you have a bus route nearby?

West Lafayette has a fantastic public transportation system called CityBus that provides rides to Purdue students at no cost. Route 10 stops right next to our building on Lindberg road and heads down to campus every 30 minutes. Route 4b stops across the road on Northwestern and heads out towards Walmart before returning to campus. More info about these routes can be found on CityBus’ website.

Are there any other bills that we can expect to pay?

As mentioned above, electric is the one utility that you will split with your roommates. Other than that, we do require every resident to provide proof of renter’s insurance or coverage via a homeowner’s policy. We require a minimum of $100,000 liability coverage while you are residing here. You are welcome to select any provider that suits your needs.

What types of ministries are present on your site?

Faith Church holds 9:30 and 11:00am worship services every Sunday in the main gym. On Thursday nights, Purdue Bible Fellowship (PBF) meets on the first floor at 7pm. On Friday nights, Purdue Bible Fellowship International (PBFi) meets on the first floor at 7pm. For more info about PBF and PBFi, please look here. These groups also do small group bible studies throughout the week at a variety of times and locations.

Are there job opportunities at Faith West?

We do have a number of employment opportunities throughout the year. There are part-time hours for custodial/maintenance workers, front desk assistants, and teachers in the preschool. Café Literato has also hired some of our residents in the past, but they would need to be contacted directly about employment opportunities.

What type of residential life activities do you have?

We know that meeting people is a large part of your college experience. We want Faith West to be a hub of activity where you are not holed up in your room but out and about meeting others and encouraging one another to live out your faith. Our residential life team seeks to plan and execute monthly activities and/or service projects to give you opportunities to meet your neighbors and build relationships. We also love it when our residents take it upon themselves to organize activities! We have Instagram and Slack groups dedicated to facilitating this type of interactions amongst our residents!

How can I get involved?

Whether you want to be a part of our church or campus ministries, or even just want opportunities to serve in the community, we are here to help you get connected. Perhaps the easiest way to get involved is to simply stop by the front desk and introduce yourself to our staff and ask where you can serve or get connected. We’d love to meet you and help you use your gifts to serve the Lord! You can also contact us at faithwest@faithlafayette.org.
