Serving at Faith

We believe that we exist to bring honor and glory to God. One of the big ways we do this at Faith is by serving each other and our local community (Hebrews 6:10).

Volunteers who serve in our children’s programs minister to kids 5^th grade and younger. A wide variety of opportunities are available each Sunday morning, Wednesday evenings during the school year, and once per month on Sunday evenings.

If you choose to serve in our middle school and high school ministries, you’ll have opportunities to build relationships with teens and minister to them through teaching scripture and discipleship. We’re always looking for volunteers to drive busses, lead small groups, or supervise the skate park.

We have a unique and vibrant college ministry for students attending Purdue University, and other nearby schools. These opportunities range from leading small groups on Sunday mornings or Friday nights, to working with international students by providing temporary housing or helping them improve their English.

Help with food prep for our senior adult fellowships, drive a van for their outings (a CDL is not required), or simply visit and encourage those who are confined to their homes or nursing care facilities.

Volunteers ministering as group leaders, or class teachers have an opportunity to use their gift of teaching to honor the Lord. We have a number of opportunities for both men and women to lead small groups and teach classes on Sundays or at our Faith Community Institute on Wednesday evenings.

Men ministering to men have the opportunity to exercise their leadership and teaching skills in various small group or classroom settings.

Women ministering to women have the opportunity to exercise their gifts in a variety of ways - from leading a small group, to mentoring other women, to organizing events and teaching classes.

Vision of Hope recognizes the worth and sanctity of human life by ministering to women ages 14 and over needing hope and help as they face life-dominating issues. Learn more about volunteering or becoming an intern.

Over the years, Faith has identified specific ways they can serve those in need in the greater Lafayette community. These serving opportunities look like: fixing up cars, rehabbing houses for the needy, ministering to the homeless, or providing meals for those in need.

Volunteers on our Sunday Hospitality team do everything from greet people at the front door, to getting the coffee ready on Sundays, hosting the welcome center, to assisting those with special needs.

Do you have a heart for the unreached people in our state, country, and around the world? Volunteers on our missions team can minister on our short-term missions trips or to our missions agency by providing clerical assistance.

Volunteers on our tech support team run the video cameras, sound board, lights and worship slides, ensuring that our church members - both those physically present as well as those watching via live stream - have an uplifting Sunday.

The Lord has blessed us with a variety of facilities and grounds throughout the Lafayette area—most of our grounds are maintained by volunteers. These volunteers have a servant's heart, and help by cleaning, mowing the grass, taking out trash, landscaping, painting, and more.

Volunteers on our worship team use their musical giftings to glorify God. They sing in the adult choir, play an instrument on our worship team or orchestra, or lead singing on our worship team choir.

Volunteer to be an instructor at one of our fitness classes, or to coach one of our youth sport teams, or to be a personal fitness trainer at one of our centers

Serve at one of our community centers: Faith East, Faith West, Northend, or the Hartford Hub. These serving opportunities range from volunteering at gym and fitness center front desk, or at our West side coffee shop; to paid opportunities in childcare and lifeguarding positions.

Whether it's teaching a Sunday School or Faith Community Institute Class for our church, volunteering in the lunchroom at our school, or providing clerical assistance to our Seminary, there are plenty of ways to get involved training the next generation to serve Christ.

Our National Biblical Counseling Training Conference attracts thousands of people from all over the world, and we need volunteers like you to help it run smoothly. Serve at either the East or West campus location, or by providing housing for conference attendees who need it.
