Course Description: The Pentateuch course offers an in-depth study of the initial five books of the Old Testament: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. This course takes you on a journey through the captivating narratives and profound teachings within these books, unveiling their significance within the historical backdrop of the Old Testament and God's timeless plan. By exploring the interconnections and relationships among these five books, you will gain a profound insight into the unfolding of God's divine purpose throughout biblical history. Students will gain a sound approach to reading, interpreting, and applying the books of Moses, and gain and understanding of and appreciation for the Law, including the priesthood, offerings and feasts of Israel. Participants of this course will also gain an understanding regarding the beginnings—of creation, the fall, the chosen people of Israel—and their implications for our present and future.

*Please note that Faith Community Institute and Wednesday Night Kids of Faith will not meet on October 23, 2024 due to fall break*

Note: This class meets the requirements toward the OT bible knowledge certificate course.

David moved to Lafayette in the fall of 2013 to begin studies at Purdue. He began attending Faith West right away. He has been involved in the College ministry at Faith both as a student and a leader after graduating. He has also served on the worship team playing bass guitar and acoustic guitar. He served as a pastoral intern at Faith Church in the 2019 cohort. He currently serves regularly with Faith Community Ministries and the Faith Community Development Corporation. David currently works as a manufacturing engineer at Saab Inc. producing aircraft out of West Lafayette. In his free time, he enjoys playing music, reading, and hiking.
