Class Time: 6:30-8:00pm (dates listed below)

Course Description: The Old Testament makes up more than 60% of the Bible, yet its content seems so foreign to our modern lives that it can be hard to see the value in studying it. This course aims to change that by bringing these texts to life. You'll learn about the 39 books of the Old Testament by examining their historical context, the circumstances of their writing, their authors, the dates they were written, and their main messages, highlighting unique and important features to help aid students in their own personal study of each book. Without understanding the events, people, laws, and religious practices of the Old Testament, it's impossible to fully grasp the ideas, principles, and doctrines in the New Testament. This course will help you make those connections.

Note: This class meets the requirements toward the OT bible knowledge certificate course.
