#FaithChurchFilms

Faith Church is considering starting a Film Ministry. Our fleece, so to speak, is this first film project, OverRide, a documentary chronicling one family's battle with drug addiction. Our prayer is that God will use this film to impact lives for His kingdom and give our Church clarity on whether or not to pursue this type of ministry full-time.

OverRide

In OverRide, Fred & Lauri Bucci share how God has worked in and through them over the arc of both Fred's and their son Danny's battles with drug addiction, and how those who are going through trials and heartache can find hope, victory, and peace in Jesus Christ.

Fred & Lauri Bucci

Fred Bucci's drug habit started when he was 13. Soon nothing could keep him from his addiction - not the grief he caused his family, not the time he spent in jail, not the overdoses nearly resulting in his death.

But during one of his jail sentences, a chaplain showed Fred from 2 Corinthians 5:17 how he could become a "new creature" in Christ. Fred asked the Lord to forgive him of his sins and save him, and God freed Fred from his nearly decade-long addiction to drugs.

Daniel Bucci

Danny Bucci, Fred & Lauri's son, started his drug habit when he was 14. His goal was to "try every drug ever made." A week after this picture was taken at his graduation party, in an IRC chatroom under the username of OverRide, Danny began the session asking for advice on "how to eat these shrooms" and ended the session declaring, "i am going outside to kill myself with my knife."

"We go through trials like this to grow closer to God, to realize our dependence on him, that we can't do anything by ourselves."
- Lauri Bucci

"Here's what I wish my son would've understood. That, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge."
- Fred Bucci
