Please Note: this program is run independently of the Faith East Community Center. Questions should be directed to Melissa Templeton.
The FCC Martial Arts Program is intended as a family-oriented time of exploring the Martial Arts, and family participation is encouraged. Taekwondo is the Korean martial art that is used as the foundation for the Faith Community Center Martial Arts Program.
Our Martial Arts Program is biblically based and refrains from teaching any Eastern mysticism which may be commonly associated with the martial arts. Martial Arts is a great way to get fit in all aspects of your physical and mental well-being: flexibility, cardio-vascular, self-defense, awareness, focus, respect, honor, persistence, coordination, agility, and even weight loss.
Our program is based on an 8 to 10 week cycle. New students are only taken at the beginning of each cycle, and can graduate into the next level at the end of cycle. There are usually 4 or 5 cycles per year depending on holidays and scheduling conflicts.
2019 Schedule
All classes meet on Saturdays. Ending times are approximate, as class content and activities dictate when the class is over.
We meet in the Faith Community Center, either in the Main Gym, Multi-purpose Room or Preschool.
Family participation is encouraged. There is a family discount, depending on the number of members. Ask for details.
Students must be at least 5 years old to participate. Students under 8 years old must attend with a parent or teenage brother or sister.
If you're interested in being a part of our Taekwondo program, let us know by emailing Melissa Templeton.
