II. Encourage One Another Daily Within the Church. (v. 13)

Hebrews 3:13 - But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

A. Today, because we are not guaranteed tomorrow

B. So that no one is hardened by the deceitfulness of sin

C. Because we have become partakers of Christ (v.14)

Hebrews 3:14 - For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end…

1. If we hold fast our assurance firm until the end

Hebrews 3:6 - …but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house – whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.

III. Be Warned by the Wilderness Generation’s Failure (v. 16-19)

A. All the house of Israel heard God and saw His works

Hebrews 3:16 - …when they had heard…

Hebrews 3:16 - …did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?

Hebrews 3:9 - …saw My works for forty years…

B. They provoked God, sinned against Him, and disobeyed the LORD

Hebrews 3:16 - …who provoked Him… (v. 8, 15)

Hebrews 3:17 - …those who sinned…

Hebrews 3:18 - …those who were disobedient…
