Restoration Sawmill and Hardwoods is a local sawmill and custom hardwood products business in Lafayette, IN that has a two-part goal: 1) providing an excellent product and service to customers for the benefit of our community and 2) helping guys who need a second chance in life.
We want men of all backgrounds and stages of life to have the opportunity to receive the help that can be found in God’s Word without putting a heavy financial burden on their families and loved ones. Meaningful hard work is a blessing and responsibility that God has charged men with, and Restoration Sawmill and Hardwoods provides an outlet for its residents to develop a God-honoring work ethic that, in turn, helps to provide financially for their training.
Restoration currently has 2 duplexes housing a maximum of 12 residents. But there are 2 more utility-ready lots on the property with 12 other lots that could be developed as the ministry grows. Restoration Sawmill and Hardwoods can help finance the future construction of more housing as well as save on the material costs by supplying and cutting our own lumber. God has begun an incredible work in changing the lives of men through our Restoration ministry, and we have faith that God will finish the good work He has started.

Services
We have a Wood-mizer LT40 which is a hydraulic, portable sawmill capable of cutting logs up to 36 inches in diameter and 20 feet long. We have used our sawmill to cut anything from load-bearing floor beams to ¼ inch wood paneling and everything in between.

Custom kiln drying of your wood is available.
For 4/4 and 5/4 boards it's $1/board foot to dry with a minimum charge of at least $100.
For 6/4 and 8/4 boards it's $2/board foot to dry with a minimum charge of $200.

- We can cut unique custom-size lumber that is not sold at stores and lumber yards.
